Their primary responsibilities include interpreting blueprints or sketches to create custom-made cabinets and ensuring that the finished product meets the customer’s expectations.

To become a cabinetmaker in Canada, you need to have completed high school or an equivalent program. You will also need to complete an apprenticeship program that involves on-the-job training under the supervision of experienced cabinetmakers. The apprenticeship may last between two to four years depending on the province you are working in.
